can this be used with the cd changer still pluged in or does it have to be removed?

I'm yet to see/know someone who has connected both a Dension Ipod car interface unit (or similiar product) AND the CD changer.

Although there are threads on SCN that clearly state there is an adaptor you can buy to allow both to be connected.

I have e-mailed the company about the xcarlink.

The tape adpaptors are crap. get a buzzing sound through the speakers and it's hard to get rid of it.

Sorry to bring up an old topic, but, I have just bought an xcarlink and there awesome, well worth the extra cash. Easy to fit, no sound interference at all, control ipod through radio. I got the 8 pin one.

E-mail them, thats what I did. I got the 8 pin for my 2001 with climate control, so guess it's the same.

it just seems to be so frustrating, why cant anything be easy! lol i feel the headunit under the steering wheel is abit silly tb, you cant see a thing and if you have an accident look what your knees are gonna whack! ouch!

Stupid qu but does the stereo have a cd changer port if you don't actually have a cd changer in the car, got an 06 Leon with factory fitted stereo and fed up with my FM Transmitter as the aerial in the Leon appears to pick up more than the one in my old Ibiza so constantly have interference!! Thanks

I know I might be chancing my arm... I might get something similar for my girlfriends CooperS but it doesn't list it on the Xcarlink site. Does anyone know any compatible versions for the Mini? I'd imagine it'd be exactly the same though?
