IPOD adaptor on Leon Mk 2

Just cut four thin strips from a DVD case and use those to extract the radio! Removing the radio is a piece of pi$$!!!

HAve a look at DanGBs Satnav retrofit guide - it shows how to remove the original headunit.

That model will not give track numbers on the MFD. You do have Bluetooth, don't you? If not, that will be the one you want - as you don't have the display for the track names.

The Quadlok connectors are the same between all the headunits you list. I think the reason why Seat say that the Ipod adaptor isn't suitable for cars fitted with the Aux in is that you will lose that if you fit the Ipod adpater - they must both plug in to the same port - the 6CD autochanger port.

flakmunky - I know that my model doesn't display the info on the MFD (yes, I have bluetooth). My question is - can I use the existing cabling for my Seat IPod connector and plug in the gateway say behind the head unit, meaning I get the new functionality without loosing the Ipod dock under the seat?

I dont want much..... I have the iPod connector under my seat and the RNS-510 and all i want is to see the track names on my MFD like i do with MP3s and to be able to play video from my iPod.... is that too much to ask?

Does the Ipod connector not work with the Shuffle ?
