INTERIOR LIGHT DO NOT WORK

Hi guys i am new to the forum and it is my first time owing seat. I have a problem with my interior lights, i tried to put led bulbs in and when i changed the bulbs in the back one of my led bulbs broke and i now i dont have and interior lights. I put back the old bulbs but still now working. I checked the fuse but it is ok and the funny thing is that the bulbs under the steering wheel is working. Sorry for the long post hope someone can help me. Thanks

I see no one has answered you but have you checked the switch position? it has three positions, 1, light comes on with door open, 2, on all the time, 3 off all the time, hope that helps

I checked the swith position but that is not the problem, fuses are all ok only the bulbs under the steering wheel work

Sometimes just a flash and they go out again

Check that the bulbs are seated correctly, they are held in by the springiness of the contacts, which if you broke a bulb you may have overstressed the contacts. The bulbs should not be wobbly, but held firmly and rotatable.

Also dont the rear ones have additional switches?

Yes the rear ones have additional switches i try them on, when doors are open but dont work. When i was piting led lights in the rear on one buld the connector got broken and since then i dont have interior lights. Some times in front but for 1 second. But the the bulbs at the foot work fine

You did not answer my question ! What is the voltage read on a DMM

If the problem occurred after breaking the connector on the rear lamp I would suggest removing and disconnecting the rear lamp and then checking the fuse and the other interior lights to see if they then work.

Thanks a lot, i removed the rear bulbs start the car and the front lights started working. Then i put back the rear bulbs in turned the switch on and they work too. Thanks a lot for your help.
