Does your head unit poke out? Or does it sit nice with the trim round it?

How easy is it to feed the ignition live to the stereo from the fusebox?

Audio Island near where I live had to run an ignition wire from the fuse box as the radio wouldn't initially turn on, whether there is another way around this I don't know.

if its the same as my golf there is no switched live in the loom, i had to run a feed from the back of the light switch and then ran a thicker power cable direct to the battery with an inline fuse for the main power supply.

No switched live on the car loom? Ok well Ill take one from the back ot the fuse box
(back of the 12v cig lighter socket??)

A VAG master technician Tried taking 12v from back of light switch frmy boost gauge light before and it wouldnt play

just whip off the panel with the 12v socket and splice into the switched live, thats have i have my becker wired up.
