Hi all have been looking for one of these for a week or two now but can't find anywhere that sells them!! i'm looking for a water system not really intrested in c02 or NOS sprays as they will cost a bomb to keep filling up!! does anyone know where i can get one of these from i did concider doing a DIY job but would rather pay the money and get a full proper kit, pref would like one of the ones with a control unit so it sprays only when the temp gets to a certain high. Let me know if you see or have seen any as i want to purchase one asap!!!

Thanks

Interesting.. some tuners say the Forge FMIC should be ok, others seem to disagree, same with injectors and what power the std unit can take.

Keep going Mikey :)

Funny how Jabba have their own version isnt it..

Forge one is perfectly adequate for the hybrid you are running.

Yep quite agree, personally i believe your problems are down to the mapping Mikey. The Forge FMIC is smaller then Allards and the Seat sport one but there are several people with bigger turbos then yours using it with no problems such as Fabia TDI.

There are several companies that sale this type of kit and several sites that that tell you how to make your own kit as it is quite a simple job really. I think i remember reading on SCN when somebody did a step by step guide to making and fitting your own kit.
To contact Turbobits click on the CONTACT tab and you can email them. I have emailed them several times about stuff and always got a quick reply.

Surprised about comments like that being made tbh, the Forge FMIC for the Fabia vRS (sure it's a diff car, but..) was tested extensively. The FMIC was reduced in volume slightly after prototyping and extensive measurements.

I've never had *any* trouble with the Forge FMIC on my car, the only thing 'wrong' with it is that it does not replace the weak link in the system, which is how the hose attaches to the turbo, but they can hardly be blamed for that :)

I know my local tuning company said the Forge FMIC would be fine with 230bhp? Seems jabba disagree. Its hard to make decisions with every company having different things to say about injectors, fmic and turbo's :(

Mike mine's gone back today for tweaking so will let you know later how well mine's working with the Forge FMIC. Can't see this being a restriction as a fair few Fabia's are running one with no problem and I'm sure the same goes for Ibiza's so wouldn't take Jabba's word for that however much you trust them. The Forge is proven to work through their own testing and people running them with all positive feedback. I think devonmikeyboy is correct about the mapping and when I get mine back I'll let you know how much it smokes. They said they won't push it too far as they don't like the cars smoking that bad and won't risk reliability so doubt I'll be pushing as much power wise as you but we'll see.

Doesn't look like my car will be fully tweaked when I get it back today as there's been a slight set back and it seems there's something rattling in the downpipe. Hopefully it's only something basic and not my cat that's damaged from when my turbo went pop. If it is I guess a decat will be on it's way, oh well.

Jabba don't actually sell a fmic kit for a seat ibiza mk4 they were saying to me the core isn't big enough and that its not keeping the air cool enough in my car, and to be honest i can't disagree my intake temps are getting upto 70degrees when i have been ragging it for a while, so forge could you sell me a bigger core that would fit the old pipework?? I'm only going on what i ahve been told as i have said many times i am still a newbie when it comes to diesel tuning!!

Sure Forge will make you whatever you want if you will pay...

As said by WW the original development Forge Fab vrs FMIC was larger capacity but found to have very little gain over the final one (which gives less lag IIRC)

I'm running an Allards VT5 (up to 2 bar boost) with the Forge one with no probs, good sustained power and very little smoke (virtually none at all when the turbo is boosting)

but what are your intake temps like?? mine get close to 70 if i'm nailing it hard for more than 10mins then obviousl there isn't enough oxygen to burn the fuel i did a test today and when my intake temp is below about 37degree's my car barely smokes atall, but when it goes over 45ish it goes mad smoking loads and my car gets to 40 very quickly only have to give it for a few mins and then they are well above 40, so jabba may be right in the fact i need a bigger or better fmic?? i am going to try this fmic spray system see what the temps are like then but i'm pretty sure i will have to change the fmic for a bigger one!! now debating wether to get a gas or water spray system for the fmic because gas will be a pain to kep filling and cost more to run but i belive will be better at keeping the intercooler cool whereas water won't cost as much to run i can fill it up at the tap but won't be as good, my plan is for things like santapod i will take crushed ice in a coolbox and just pile that in there before i go up the strip

No problems with intake temps but that could be due to bigger turbo not having to work that hard for the power.
I would look at the fueling/map before you go spending on intercooler mods.
Hope you get it sorted soon.
