Phil, you sound sceptical?

I have heard that it is not as effective as the marketing of it makes out. Any light on the subject?

cheers

I am - I think it should work in principle, but would be difficult to pull off in practice.

Lots of stuff to stop it from working effectively (spray patterns, droplet size, volume, contact area, muck on the intercoolers) especially on a home brewed system.

There are "better" things to spray on your intercooler (if the end tanks of the stock intercoolers can take it, Robdon had good results from a NOS spray but you're not going to homebrew one of those), and there are better places to squirt water at/into (water injection).

IC spray ids easy to do, ive had it a while, you need

2 windscreen washer nozzles that fan or mist it not the water pistol type,
1 T piece
1 windscreen washer pump
some plastic tube,
and a push to make switch,

ran the pipe into the screen wash and you know when its low cos the light comes on on the dash :D ;)

im now going to run it off the rear window wash pipe as i dont have al that in the back anymore so might aswel take advantage, also the switch isnt seen and looks OE
