instruments have stopped working

Hi all, this is my first post so please go easy on me
the speedo and tacho stopped working on my 1998 alhambra tdi yesterday,
both the guages went all the way round and have'nt returned back to normal, the needles are behind the stop on the clocks, would anybody know what could have caused this, or how to fix it, its a bit un nerving driving without the speedo working, especially as my kids are in the car most of the time,

1998 alhambra tdi is not just difficult to deal with. All you just need to do is to pick up your phone and call a specialist to deal with your problem.

i had same problem all i did was disconnect battery then reconnected so it then resets itself

Just be aware that if you disconnect the battery you will probably lose your radio code.
