Hello,

I allready present myself in a thread but someone suggested to ask it here also.
my question is that mine SW train version is very old and From Skoda I think, I buy the car like that from the second owner (cupra 280).
my SW train version is: MHI2_ER_SKG11_P0257 MU: 0123
My question is how can I update it or let someone do it (I’m from Belgium).
Apple car play should be coding right ?
My usb is also in the glovebox.
Will very thankfull if someone could explain it.

To my knowledge you can update to the latest MU 1447 (MHI2_ER_SEG11_P4709). I did one of those latetly. But you do need an OBD devices or something like that to change the start up screen. You need to do this because it gets stuck in the update. It basically can't find the start up image and will stay on boot screen.

I would recommend to upgrade to a lower software version before performing the (AIO) MU 1447 update. For instance to MHI2_ER_SEG11_P3240 as this is the lowest version which is available on mibsolution. After this you can update to MU 1447. There is also an AIO MU 1447 which should work and also activate some missing features like Carplay and AA for example.

You can find these firmware versions on mibsolution.one, but like I said to activate al features and perform the update correctly you need an OBD dongle like OBD11 or someting like that. Also, see this thread below:

USB needs to be changed to the one which supports apple carplay. There are a lot of companies on aliexpress selling them. I always order them from aliexpress and not one has ever failed me. The one your are looking for has OEM number: 5Q0035726E

Most if not all of the USB ports on AliExpress are of inferior quality, they're not even that much cheaper than genuine at this point. These aren't our images. Left is China, right is genuine

There's nothing stopping you updating directly to 1447 but as mentioned above you'll likely need to change the coding to allow it to boot successfully.
