Are you looking for performance gains or engine bay aesthetics?

In summary, the intake doesn’t provide much in terms of a performance gain over stock for the £. A new turbo inlet elbow/pipe (and potentially upgraded panel filter) does have some benefit if you are going to tune the car e.g. stage 1 map.

Above is true, don't expect any measurable performance gains. There's a small benefit with a proper kit but likely just for a tuned car, stock box is fine for stage 1 cars though.
My tuner told me an uprated/oversized turbo inlet in particular does make a (to him anyway) noticeable performance gain on the Cupras he has tuned. For me it's mostly because I like the intake sound and a little quicker throttle response and if it adds a little power on top of the curve it's a bonus.
I use the MST Performance full intake. Great build quality and sounds just about perfect for me, subtle but noticeable.

However this doesn't mean that an upgrade is waste of money.

3 drills at the front, the block-off plastic, a K&N filter and removed snow-guards.
I have a R600-like induction with bigger turbo inlet elbow.
Imho if i have to choose again, i would have bought the full MST intake.

Performance is maybe at the top3 induction.
R600 sounds also great and looks fantastic at the engine bay, very OEM look.
