OK folks I'm thinkin on changing my panel filter for an induction kit

I've done the usual search but there seems to be a whole load of different filters that come up.

The usual suspects are thr Jabba filter and Jetex one, the Jabba one seems pretty expensive for what seems to be just a bit of metal shielding

Does anyone have any pics of there filters fitted and also what kind of price they paid for it??

Cheers

filter cost £40, brackets made from off-cut alloy.

Eck,
Have you smoothed your airbox?
I don't think you will get any further gains by doing this as people are using a smoothed air box with BT applications.

further to JS's comment - i now have a smoothed airbox with larger feed instead of the big cone - the cone was merely an experiment :)

I havnt smoothed it mate

Wouldnt have the firt clue how to do it tbh, fancy doin it for me for some beer tokens ;)

I just want a bit more induction/DV noise tbh as its a bit to quiet inside the cabin and its a bit boring now :(

I was thinking of putting a induction kit but a lot of guys are saying panel filter is best for 1.8T.
So.. what do you think?

i modified my air box last week, drilled most of the outer side up (wing side) and smoothed the inside, got my green cotton panel filter in there and currently looking for a new Air feed, but once its drilled i noticed the sound differance straight away, more of a roar and get a Tssshhhh sound from the DV which i couldnt hear before. :)

its not like a scooby or evo tssshhhh but its deffiantly noticeable! :)
