Indicator Problems - 2001 Leon 20vT

Hi all,

Over the last few days my indicators have gradually stopped working. Started when using the stalk, they would flash for a few seconds then just stop, which was annoying but could be corrected by just re-applying the indicators. However, it has got steadily worse and now I can barely get them to flash at all, either with the stalk or the hazard button. When it first started I checked all the bulbs and they are all ok. All of the other lights and elctronics are working fine. I know zip about car electronics, any advice??? or is a trip to the stealer!!?

Could be your hazard switch relay that has died.

Don't think a new one is that much and fitting can be done yourself. Someone else who maybe had had this problem can advise better.

i would go with the powered hazzard switch as per r6 allan.
had a similar prob but mine was due to loose connection on the hazzard.
seems all the indicators go back to the switch so start there.

Hi guys. I'm having an issue with my indicator relay as described (along with a whole host of other issues lol) and was just wondering if anybody knew the part number for the hazard relay switch or even better if there is anwhere online i can order one from??

Before Purchasing New Relay Remove Hazard Switch And Relay From Behind The Panel, Remove Hazard Button AND Carefully Unclip The Outer Relay Casing To Reveal The Coil, Just Open The Contacts Slightly And Re Assemble, Worked For Me But Be Careful You Dont Snap Off The Clips!!!!!!!!!
