Indicator mirrors?

Sitting around at home this afternoon, thinking about what I can waste some more money on, and thought about changing the mirrors on the Altea for ones with indicators built in. There's none available in the Seat parts bin from what I can gather, so I'm thinking maybe the Golf Plus ones would fit.

Has anyone tried this mod or do they even fit?

i don't think so, but i may be wrong....
I thought the angle of the slope on the windscreen was different on the Golf Plus.
As you would need the whole mirror back onto the door mount as i don't think you can just change the tops.

I may be wrong, would be interesting to find out!

I think I need to find someone with a Golf Plus, and ask nicely if I can try his mirrors out to see if they fit. There must be a way of making them work, possibly keeping the Seat mounting and swapping the Golf mirror housing onto it.

Time to start investigating with ETKA.

It might take a while, but I'll ask my mate at the VW dealers if I can "borrow" a set of mirrors for an afternoon..

I'll update as and when anything happens, but it's busy season for heating engineers at the moment so work kinda gets in the way.

Initial enquiries reveal that certain specced Golfs have the folding mirrors with indicators in them, and all Golfs have indicators in them aswell. The same mirrors are on the Golf Plus, same part number.

Need to find a smashed one to check the mounting.

If only they were folding ones. I need the fold facility as my drive is too narrow to get past with them stuck out.

Edit: Then again, read his listing very carefully.
