But 33PSI should be stuck to ridgidly, if you tyres are wearing bad in the middle
1 there rubbish tyres or
2 there not XL tyres

i'm sure my tyres are right willie the 92Y on the tyre is the load rating, right:confused:
as said above they are p-zero's so not a cheap tyre, but rubbish? maybe!
I'm sure other people have moved away from the 33 psi rating, i remember reading a thread at the time. Also my mate's a mechanic and checked on there national autodata system, that also recommended 29/26psi to the front!

Defected!
I think the tyre pressures that are inside the fuel filler are very vague as the range from being empty to fully loaded with passengers and luggage is so great. I've been using 35 all round as sometimes there's just me in the car and other times there's Me, The Missus ans 3 kids. It's also worth getting an accurate pressure gauge as the ones at the petrol station come in for so much abuse, how many times have you seen the handset just thrown on the floor? Also, pressure should be checked on cold tyres.

Regarding pressures, it is 33psi all round (as printed in the fuel cap) but obviously you can make small adjustments by a couple of psi in either direction to change the handling if required.

I would say 29/26 is too low, and if you want the rear grippy compared to the front (seems to go against your post title though!) then perhaps 33/31 would be better. Wouldn't you be better off with 31/33 instead if you want the front with more grip?

Myself, I've never run anything other than 33 all round and with good tyres I don't think you'd have problems...
