Immobiliser help!?

Hi
Been a while since I've posted here...

I changed the battery today and all was well until I opened the driver's door after fitting, and now the standard alarm and immobiliser kicks in.

The car was fitted with aftermarket alarm/immobiliser (which appears to be working as usual) and I have only ever used the fob that came with it to operate the locking/alarm. I have only one SEAT key that came with the car and it's plain without any buttons on it.

What should I do/ can I do to stop the standard equipment kicking in?

Thanks

 nice one! yeah, most standard alarm systems have an order to unlocking, locking the doors, boot etc! lock everthing then start at the drivers door, then passengers side then boot, then lock in opposite order! next time you unlock it it SHOULD work, that is previous experience with different cars!!

Thanks for the advice although my key only works on the drivers door so couldn't try locking sequences.
Decided to disconnect the horn so I at least wasn't getting an ASBO for the noise. Follwed the trusty Haynes and result.. the standard alarm/immobiliser doesn't function. Not sure how that's happened but I'm happy:D
