(LEFT) AFTERMARKET (With RED Light) - OEM LEON KNOB (RIGHT)

Yes... just posted the pic in case his monitor´s contrast was not helping much.

Nice pic. :)

But on my screen (iMac 20in, Intel, OS X 10.6), the 'knob on the left appears to be a very dark shade of grey - albeit almost black! - while the León OEM on the right is very definitely black.

I guess it depends on how picky folks are re their gearknob's shade matching that of the LC/LCR's steering wheel rim, which is the same black as the OEM 'knob?

Do like the idea of the red-illuminated shift pattern, though. [B)]

Perhaps the answer is to only drive in the dark, then you can't see if the shades of grey/black don't match? :cartman:

Contrast ...[B)]

If contrast was incorrectly set, then both 'knobs would appear to be grey-ish.

However, one looks like an almost-black shade of dark grey & the other (OEM) very much black.

If you're happy that your OEM steering wheel rim & gaitor's shade of black matches the Innovativcar 'knob, then that's excellent. :)

I'm merely advising that other folks should be aware of the potential difference in shades. ;)
