Hi Guys, i just changed my spark plugs today with an oil change coming tomorrow, my car is now idling around 700-750RPM whereas i believe it used to idle around 900-1000RPM before, what is the ideal idle RPM for my Ibiza 1.4 Formula Sport.

My 1.4 Sportrider which I'm fairly certain has the same 1.4 100hp BBZ engine as yours idles just below 700 when warm. It's annoying because when combined with the throttle lag makes it easy to stall.

Thanks and yeah, that throttle lag is hard to get used to haha. Is that just something thats typical on Seat Ibiza's.

From what i've seen on here it looks like our engines have the worst throttle lag out of all the mk4s. There was an ecu update in 2009 which is meant to help with throttle lag but at my local dealer it's £60 just to check if there is an update. seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=269763&highlight=1.4+update
