Hi there,

The Wife is considering selling her Leon Cupra TDI. She's concerned about the effect of the sports suspension on our new arrival (it's fairly juddery on speed bumps on the B-roads.

So, now she's punting around in my Toledo (lovely soft suspension) and I'm not overly keen on the Cupra to be honest (I prefer the saloon for all my cycle gear and mountain bike gear) so I'm thinking about an A6.

Question is, what would she be looking to get for a 04 plate model, platinum with 21K on the clock?

Autotrader seems to suggest around the 12K mark, for trade and private sales. Parkers reckons around 13K, with an ave. mileage of 10K - which just doesn't seem right!

Many thanks in advance.

have a look and see what else is for sale, and what price.
do you need a quick sale?? then the price will need to be lower!

Have you pm'd anyone in the "wanted" section??

Plenty of peeps after TDi's

Surprisingly (pleasantly, I may add) we were offered £11,500 to trade the Cupra in on a 2004 A6 SE TDI with 21K on the clock (@ £14,500), so we're very pleased indeed.

Spoke to my main dealer about the price. They were keen to buy the car back, but not at £11,500 - there point was that they'd been selling brand new FR TDI150's at 12,500 (with their recent £2K off the list price). They were very surprised to see that this wasn't reflected in the used value of the Leon. So, all in all I think we've done well out of this.

I went for the 1.9 in the end. Decided that the 1.9 would be slightly more frugal than the V6 and it was such a low mileage. There was a 2.5TDI as well but the mileage was quite high.

I mind trying out a V6TDI Superb last year and not being enthralled as much as I hoped I would be. And, I'm not too worried about performance (it's a multitronic after all) and it seemed quiet enough at m-way speeds so I'm more than happy.

See if there is also any for sale in your local area and what they are up for, 10k sounds about right to me

I've been offered a 9.5k trade in on my 04 Cupra TDI, which is the about the figure the Glasses guide says for its mileage of 50k, will go on a forecourt for about 11k though
