Must admit it can be a ball ache waitin 4car to cool down if ur in a hurry, and having to explain to passengers why you are still sitting in the car with the engine running when the vehicle has come to a stop, most lasses never understand, (not all, just those who dont know about cars, I'm not trying to offend the ladies who use this site!) I'm gonna get a turbo timer @some point, can ny1 recommend 1??

rash, how much hp you going to have, are you having lsd fitted as your going to struggle going anywhere with all the wheelspin, I think 210bhp to too much for a fwd car. its quite frustrating actually. still want more power though for laughs

must be some way of making it a quatro :p cutting half the floor out

think its going to be the case of learning how to drive it and giving it as much power as i can and where! but DAMN am i looking forward to learning ;)

S3's really dont do it for me they are getting really common and i personally dont like the shape or styling butthe ibiza CUPRA where i live is like gold dust to see and is a wolf in sheeps clothing easy to modify ectmoney well spent!

al companies ive asked for uprated turbo theyve never done or heard of 1 in a mk4 but im sure there is some1 outthere not on a forum with a bigger turbo perched uder the bonnet but as far as i know i think im the only 1 to do it so far! :D

I hope its reliable for you, I think lsd though will be next on your shopping list. I hope to see it at the gti festival. put my new forge 007p on yesterday, didn't make the least bit of difference.

now you can mapp it with no worrys of the old 1 shattering! it wernt a waste of money trust me! if your after a little noise and a bit more performance replace the standard airfilter element for a green pannel filter1 and if you smooth the airbox too you get performance and a nice sound!

yeah think the panel air filter is next, worried about the fuel economy going out the window though when I replace the filter.

when i start my ibiza cupra up first thing in the morning/after work, it idles at approx 1200rpm and after a minute of waiting it drops to the normal idle rpm - think its bout 800rpm. does this happen to anyone else?

i always let my car warm up before i drive it. if i have been driving hard, i give it a good minute to cool down, sometimes longer....depends how hard i have been driving and how close it is to my house. even if i havent been driving hard, i still give it about 30secs to cool down before turning it off

and your right about girls not understanding why you have to wait for the car to kool down. now, on the rare occasions i have a girl in my car, i just drive off boost to save time and explaining as it goes in one ear and out the other. or if i have to let my car cool down for a minute, i can think of something that i can do in that time with plenty of time to spare!! :cartman:

well i would say what i do sounds right but as my turbo has blown i wont

15seconds is no where near enough time for you to then pull away! i start my engine and i wait till its at operating temperature pritty much every time but if in a rush ilstart it and at last make it get to 60ish!

when i drive it hard il take it extra easy for the last two miles of my journey and then il let it idle for about 2-3 mins to let the turbo temperatures naturally drop!

im wanting a key engine starter and turbo timer for my cupra when new 1 is installed so im not pi55ing around for ages!

IIRC the handbook specifically says not to sit the car idling to warm it up. Also, the diesels are near enough impossible to warm up to operating temperature without driving them (especially if the heaters are on!) - the engine just doesn't produce any heat!

Rash, you got the car back yet?

not yet m8 taking a tad longer because of all the custom pipe work T.I.P, bottom IC to turbo hose and boost pipe ect! will be wed-thurs time prefer them to take there time rather than rush it tho!

 thats JBS for you  i had custom pipework on my car aswell, was all metal apart from the one off the turbo as that was a silicon one iirc.
