Right guys,

havn't had much money for a while but things have settled down now...so back to my car hehe

the first thing i did was change the air intake to the cupra one:

put in the standard fr intake for comparison!
also, this is the difference between the two adapters:

Then changed the air filter to a green cotton one:

with this, i noticed that the turbo whistle was louder :D and the pick up was slightly faster!! definately well worth it!

anyway, that was last month, and this month, i decided that i wanted more power!!!
i spoke to a couple of tuning companies, and chris from cc tuning gave me the option of the ST3 box for £350 all in!!! considering these are usually around £500.....what a bargain!!!

and heres a picture of it and the diagnostic port:

i got the eco map and fast road map which gave me:

155bhp 270 lb/ft on economy
175bhp 291 lb/ft on fast road

i would recomend one of this to everyone who wants to go faster sometimes and economical othertimes!
cc tuning were awesome and i had everything done within the hour of recieving the box in the mail, including sending/recieving emails and uploading them to the ECU!!! very easy process, and the instructions given were brilliant, well worth every penny!!! cheers chris!
and next month hopefully i shud have a new suspension set up!!! :D

For the 600 mark I'm sure it will be the Pro-Street-S kit :) - IIRC mine cost 575 or so, so sounds right!

Looks very nice, liking the uprated discs and pads!

hey guys
me and my cousin got bored today at my aunts farm.....so he decided to show me how to 'detail' my car properly :)
since i just usually wash it and then dry it he thought he would show me how to clay and polish it.
so bascially we spent about 3 hours cleaning/rinsing/claying/polishing....now i owe him a favour lol
and these are the results:

so what do you think?

Looks like some good results there mate, consider getting the polo rear wiper and de-badging, just little things make a big difference... with the chipping box, do you have to plug it in to change from fast road to eco, or does the car do that itself when you boot it

cheers

yeah, you have to plug it in a literally remap your car if you want to change your map!! :)
its really easy to do and takes about 5 mins (tops) when you get in.

so if you say wanted just a fast road map then you could set it to that and then sell it on say, the the map cost you probs £70 max, or is it setup to your car only... what about totally de-wiper

cheers

as far as im an aware, its a generic map.
the only thing is, is that the box is only supplied by one company at the mo, chipped UK, and you have to send them the serial number of the box to get emailed back..i tried without cos i wanted to do the same thing as you lol.
the only prob with selling it on is then the person who buys it can only email them for new maps (they are generic so the only way around would be to sell it to someone who has the same car)

does that make sense? (it kinda does in my head lol)

lol sorry,
basically, anyone with the PD130 engine could have the same map, as long as all the other parts were the same as my car (engine wise).

so i could sell anyone with a PD130 engine my generic map and it should (in theory) work. i wouldnt like to try that theory myself bcos i would have been the last person to touch their car and if something went wrong i would be at blame.....

stage 1 maps are generic- will be the same map for all the cars which have the same standard engine and parts
stage 2 maps are specifically for your car...generally because you would have more things done to it...e.g. exhaust FMIC etc etc
