I noticed it was down on power towards the end of the week even though its been hot this was worse than heat soak but not as bad as limp mode. According to Vag Com it was a N276 fuel pressure regulator valve which reappeared as soon as it was cleared down.
It went on to the Audi dealer in Colchester today, the sent there driver to come and collect it took it to the garage and diagnosed the same fault. It turns out the only cure for this is a new fuel pump assembly but the MY09 cars have a different pump to any other cars and these are on back order from Germany. While that had it the also looked into a strange fault which was showing a right side indicator out though all bulbs where A ok. It transpires that the the MY09 cars front indicator bulbs are built in to the holder and these are also on back order too!
So they dropped the car back to me and will pick it up when the parts arrive in stock, i must say so far the service has been brilliant and the service agent at the end of the phone has been tip top, really helpful and kept me updated on a technical level.
Far different to the service i have received at Ipswich service department, telling me using VCDS will invalidate the warranty and checking then second guessing my age and telling me unless there is a light n the dash everything is ok.
