hi there everyone i have a the petrol fr and need some advise whats the best way to get to the exhaust manifold on the 20vt engine it seems my manifold has come loose.
From above. Charge pipe needs to come off to get proper access though. Its only 1 hose clip on the turbo outlet and one hose clip down near the bottom of the engine, then 2 clamps with 2 M6 bolts (10mm spanner/socket) retaining them.
No mate. Its the turbo outlet, the TIP is the turbo inlet.
Look at the engine from the front of the car, at the back of the engine you can see a metal pipe coming up from the right and loopink back down to the left. Thats the charge pipe.
thanks for helping me out mate bloody hate all the pipes, but its done now the bolts had just come loose very loose i could shake the turbo they were only finger tight in the end, so took them all out and the gasket had a little bit of damage so replaced it anyway for £3 not worth putting it back together with it and tightened it all back up. whats that strange thing on the turbo air outlet side ?
