Excellent, looks really nice! Glad you're enjoying it, safe to say it was worth the wait? :D

Mine has developed a little rattle passenger side. Can't tell if it's the door, the seat mechanism, the seat itself or some trim.

On another note, I've taken mine up and down the Rev range and really love sport mode on the DSG. I can see it staying in that for most of its life :)

217 miles on the clock

I thought mine had a rattle - turns out it's just the key fob the dealer attached to the key.

It's in the App Store on both Apple and Android. Although the current versions on there don't support our cars. You'll need to request the Beta version from their support.

I haven't actually made any changes yet, you need to pay £15 in the app to get access to be able to make the changes. I'm just waiting to hear back from the support before I purchase.

There are a few threads on this forum about Carista. The app and their support get good reviews.

The OBD reader I have is from Amazon called ieGeek Wi-Fi Wireless OBD-II Mini ELM327. It was £11.99.

Ah right - I already have an obd2 reader so will have a look at the app.

I also took the Fan washer jets off my old FR (nice little mod). They are originally from a Golf but fit perfect and spray the whole windscreen.

To get the mirrors to fold there is a position right round to the bottom on the switch.
Holding my key fob down when locking doesn't work for me. Does it work for anyone else?

To request the beta, send them an email telling them what car you have and that the current app doesn't work. If you don't want to do that, they told me it'll be available publicly in a few weeks anyway :)

Mine did too on day one and it's getting louder, it's the front armrest in my case causing it, need to figure out how to make it silent.

Well I've done 110 miles now.

Love the CarPlay with Apple Music - having the ability to ask for any song you want is amazing. Replied to a few iMessages - very clever.

The engine is superb - amazing torque and it just pulls so easily. The car is quick and agile - makes me realise just how heavy and lumbersome my Merc was - you certainly notice the difference between the heavy diesel front end of the Merc and the light front end of the Ibiza when going round corners.

The gearchange is precise, short and has a quick action which is actually pleasing to use. The steering is light at low speed and weights up nicely at higher speeds. The steering wheel is lovely and chunky - all the controls are easy to use and I love the flat bottom.

For me though the biggest revelation is the change back to petrol from many years of diesel engines. It's like true driving again - the noise and the wide rev range have reminded me what driving is all about again.

More to follow!

You cannot get the mirrors to fold using the keyfob, not sure why that is, been trying since I got mine.

Have you been trying via VCDS at all?

The one I most want to do is turn those damn cornering fog lights off.

A few more thoughts after two days ownership.

Suspension - the 1.4 FR is fitted with low profile 205/40r17 tyres. I must admit that I was a little concerned that this combined with the sports suspension would give a harsh ride. Well I'm not sure what the previous Ibiza was like but I don't find the ride harsh at all - yes it's firm but it does a great job of absorbing bumps and rough surface. To be honest it does a much better job then my Merc did of absorbing the bumps - my Merc was also much louder with road noise being a particular issue. Impressed.

Interior - I think the interior is a really nice place to be. While you can see where some money has been saved such as no grab handles, harder plastics on top of door cards and the frankly ridiculous manual winder rear windows, I find the quality inside more than adequate. The FR seats are great offering a good balance between comfort and support when you are pushing on a bit. The large screen headunit in the Technology pack is a great piece of kit - the navigation is actually pretty good and easy to use - the postcode input is a little hidden but at least it supports full postcode input. The steering wheel is very nice indeed - small and chunky makes it very comfortable to use and I actually like the flat bottom - some say it's pointless - but I like it and it makes getting out of the car easier with the bolstered FR seats.

More thoughts to come after a few more days.

Has anyone upgraded from a facelift 2012-2015 to a brand new one? I'm interested what improvements there has been to the interior quality wise. Obviously, the radio, climate control and steering wheel unit s have been upgraded but the rest looks the same as mine.
