I can see an opening now. Due to Custom code/ Jbs autodesigns requiring pot holes and bends to carry out phase 2 live road mapping we require 1 man and his pick axe to recreate real life road surface conditions.

Also wont the cars under perform on the rollers due to the lack of bends and Pot-holes. Talking of Pot u guys down at Jbs been taking a Friday afternoon toke.:p

It is Friday afternoon were allowed a little leg pulling.:D

Well I have 2 legs so where is the other?

live mapping on road is for real world load/airflow, and has fcuk all to do with potholes(apart from dodging in them), i'd be more worried about the fuzz, nailing the car on the road and watching a laptop, or getting caught speeding, unless it's all done @ brunters

Ive just gone from APR to REVO on my Cupra (only reason being the car came with APR and the swap to REVO cost me near enough nothing, just fancied giving it a go). Anyway i can hardly tell the difference between the 2, niether feels like it has more power or torque, REVO has boost come in earlier (maybe too early) whereas APR delivers the power smoothly all through the rev range.

I found while launching with the APR i could just about use 1st gear without spinning if i concentrated. But the REVO renders 1st gear near useless while launching lol But of course if/when you do master it, you've got more power to play with lower down the range.

But as said, you definatly won't be dissapointed with whichever remap you go for. They all equate to the same thing near enough :)

Cheers shifty-shifty, nice to hear from someone whos used a couple! my friend had a revo'd mk4 turbo and the power went flat after 5000 rpm approx, is this applicable to revo'd ibizas? another mate has a custom chip on his ibiza and it revs/ pulls 2 approx 7000 rpm... any ideas anyone? cheers.

With my car REVO'd it does go flat after 5k, my APR would pull to 6k. It just depends what you want really. REVO serves it all up before 5k and APR spreads the same power/torque accross to 6k.

Like i said though, you can hardly tell the difference between the 2 when driving. Both deliver awsome performance and make for a very enjoyable drive.

That is very true, but don't you need a whole host of mods to have stage 2? Also i think APR offer free software upgrades which would be the equivilant of REVO stage 2?

most Revo users have the timing way to advanced, so it will pull back - less timing, and pulls more. it's about the happy medium of lower down punch

Its worth getting a custom remap if you have lots done. Filter/downpipe/exhaust/fmic

But if you just have a standard cupra, or one with a filter/exhaust, just go for a "off the shelf" remap.

There wont be that big of a difference either way.
