I would be tempted to see how much boost you could get away with on stock compression, may try this myself at some point,

I'm quite interested in this too I'd rather test the theory on someone else's bottom end, though

On the other hand, it wouldn't be too much trouble to start very gently on the bottom end - say 5psi - and move up from there... spacer could still be added later.

I didn't want to pay to have a low comp setup built as turbos aren't really my thing - I've always just been really intrigued by the 16v turbo, as some of the results I've seen from very mild setups have been amazing.

I'll start a build thread soon... gotta get some time off to get cracking
