Ibiza 1.4 Responsiveness question

I might try injector cleaner and maybe some iridium quad spark plugs. Maybe even reset my ecu! Has anybody used the drive-by-wire booster things?

My 1.4TDI has a small delay from pushing pedal till gogo, but i put that down to a little turbo lag, although when you rev it in netural, there is a small delay which i put down to the drive by wire.
My mates old 1.2 used to be pretty responsive and eager to rev. They have alot of low down power for a small petrol engine which makes them good around town, just theres not much to gain in the top of the rev range. Ive never driven one of the 1.4 petrols though.

ok, a little update on my 1.4 petrol. I've just got myself a bottle of redex. I put in slightly more than the marked dosage and filled my tank, going out on a run i did notice more noise coming from the engine. It also handled a bit better from a standing start too. This and maybe the fact i'm getting more used to the biting point etc etc means i'm more confident at roundabouts now!

I'm in the process of getting a Green filter soonish, and will definetly post my feedback if this thread is alive.
