I need a new Turbo - opinions on what I have found please

You'd almost be as well keeping it if your going to get that work done. I know the dealers wouldn't bother their bum to do it for you. I had a friend that bought a car from Charles hurst Northern Ireland and the window mechanism failed the week he got it and he left it into them to fix. Their solution was to prop it up with a bit of wood and hope he'd swallow it. SERE live in cloud cuckoo land. They were looking a grand over list price for a seat Ibiza sport 110bhp tdi with scratches on the door and offered me a grand below trade price for my skoda fabia 1.4 mpi. I told him to wise up and walked out. The only dealer I've had good dealings with is Roadside motors in lurgan and Adam H Erwin in Antrim. The rest are plonkers. If they slabber to you then tell them to forget about it, you'll go else where.

What's the indie? Like an auction house?

If I wasn't sick of it (and hadn't ordered a Mk3 :-D) I would but then it would only happen again due to my short traffic filled commute. SEAT offered me £3k after pushing knowing about the duff turbo.

The indie is a trader forecourt near me. They've sold my dad's vectra and my mum's slk in the past 2 years.

Just to update, I got quoted by a local garage to change the turbo and glowplugs for £480+Oil change. SEAT said they would either reimburse that and give me £3k for the car OR give me £3800 if I got the work done (So £3320 at best). Turns out a colleague of mine is good friends with the Sales Manager at the other local Dealer in the same group, who also happened to previously be the Group Manager. I explained to him and suddenly receive a call from my Dealer's SM saying they have one at the dock - it is red and with 17s but has everything else and that I could have it max 10 days! I'll also stand to save £710 due to those options missing.

Done deal
