It's odd they use 12 point nuts on the drive shafts. Expect it to be pretty tight too!

My local halfords don't sell this and machine mart are no good either.

I'm begining to think that god hates me.

I could get this from the web but I'd have to take the car off the road since the MOT has run out !

I'm sure that this is of no help to you, but I bought mine from a small independant motor factor. It was a deep impact quality socket - but it was bi-hex which is what the 12 pointed nut needs. Maybe have a look at www.toolconnection.co.uk select LASER TOOLS and use that number listed earlier IE 0954 - if you feed in your post code you will find who your local supplier is - mine was Halfords and they will order in tools for you - but you'd be quicker and cheaper to get it elsewhere from an on-line supplier. I ordered a splitter tool that way once and they messed up a few times blaming everyone except me - luckily I was not in a hurry for the tool.

Update:- I've just had a look at my socket and it is also a Laser Tools deep 36mm impact quality one - ie exactly like 0954. Remember to buy a new nut!
