Right where do I start

I have been looking for a new HPFP for the past few months. I have read all the reviews and concerns over failures etc, and with this in mind I have chosen a company that isn't very well known of over here in the UK, but the mazda guys seem to love this company so I though I would give it a try. I looked at autotech internals but read some horror stories, but to be fair most of the issues where down to the fuel pump its self not the internals. I also considered APR, again massive name and highly respected, but far too expensive for me. So with that in mind i went with HPFPUPGRADE.com also known as Tork motorsport. They provide a full DIY kit which is prebuilt and tested before shipping. The cost is very friendly too $549. Also John from Tork is very helpful and approachable, and can answer any questions anyone has

It only took around 2 hours to remove the pump and fit the parts (even being hung over). These guys have made a fantastic product and very easy to fit for anyone that has a few sockets and spanners. The most important thing is keep everything clean. I used a full 500ml can of brake cleaner on the pump just to be 100% sure it was clean. So far I have covered 50 miles and not a problem. The brake in procedure is around a 100 miles so stage 2+ will be going on next week and I will keep this thread updated with news on how it handles. I just wanted to make everyone aware that there is other options out there other than APR and autotech. This alternative is not just high quality but very keenly priced, which makes going stage 2+ ever more value for money.

Nice ;) - I have the website saved for awhile now, they were also mentioning about a new cam follower which would be stronger than the oem one too, they also do RS4 Fuel Valves in different sizes I think on their website not a bad shout on the prices too.

Yeah mate John is working on a few parts for the fsi engine now. Been heavily evolved in Mazda speeds. A few 600bhp models. Also hopefully working on an e-tune for the fsi as well. I will keep you guys updated with logs of fuel pressure etc. my car doesn't request very heavenly on stage 1, but once on 2+ that will be the true telling point

isnt this a carbon copy of the Autotech HPFP internal i,e it has the Step which can leak???

take that back just read the web page and it says its uprated and wont leak. be interested to see this as it doesnt have uprated seals as such although he does start to mention a new GEN X Seal so not sure which seal this one is :)

take that back just read the web page and it says its uprated and wont leak. be interested to see this as it doesnt have uprated seals as such although he does start to mention a new GEN X Seal so not sure which seal this one is :)

I see they also do variants of the RS 4 valve or their own version.

We do have different rail valves available for the FSI/TFSI. We have 135, 145, and 155 bar options for these valves. These valves have added 50 to 100 hp worth of additional fueling and there are HP records being broken worldwide with this option.

No, they are not a copy of anyone's fuel pump internals. Our fuel pumps were built from the ground up. We retain the OEM fuel pump puck and retainer, we will never offer our fuel pumps without our Gen X seal (fuel leaking into the oil is bad). To date we have not had one single fuel pump fail from leaking fuel into the oil.

The Gen X seal is a second seal that we add to the OEM cam retaining nut, this seal is designed around the high pressure and fuel wash out that comes from this application. Our fuel pump internals are so unique that we have a pat pending on our design.

When we brought our fuel pumps to the FSI market we knew that we needed to offer a pump that didn't leak and had the reliability of the competition. We have delivered that but for an affordable price.

Just a small update

I have now pased 100miles so the brake in procedure is complete. Its the first chance I have had to go WOT and all I can say is :D:D:D:D:D:D I honestly didnt think it would make much difference on a stage 1 map, but im pleased to say im very wrong. From about 4.5-5K the car pulls like a train it actually feels like it has more torque. Very please and looking forward to stage 2+ at the start of next week.

I will do some 3rd gear WOT logs to show fuel request on stage1 & 2+

Thank you for the update. Its very common to see additional boost and felt power gains from upgrading the fuel pump.
