Not really a different league.

I mean the 20vt Ibiza still pips an LCR for me personally, even with em both chipped up the Ibiza still has BHp per tonne advantage, but thats anoter story, and mine in top condition embarassed a few LCR's too.

So you mean to say I bought an LCR because I read on this site its the fastest car in the world, and its actually not...... bugger. I've been had!

Nitrous is a good call actually. Not sure how well the 1.4 lump would cope but certainly would give you a thump of power.

Garrett do a turbo for the 1.4 16V 100bhp engine. Some bloke in a Lupo was seeing 6 second 0-60's with the turbo on but it wasn't a cheap convertion.

50bhp shot of nitrous would be safe, any more is silly. but it is very impressive. Check out the wizrds of NOS forum. some clever guys on there,

a mate of mine is running 75bhp on his 206 CC and when all set up its nigh on 300 bhp and absoloutely flies esepecially as his redlines at 9000 rpm, he can program the nitrous to comein and loads of settings. plus the control unit is like a computer, think you are looking at around £1000 for a nice progresive set up and around £1500 for a maximiser and pulseoids.

I wouldnt run 75 BHP on a 1.4...i think the 206CC is a 2litre??
But i rekon 25BHP shot should do the trick!
Anyone got nos on a leon cupra/fr/R? what bhp shot you runnin and can the engine take it ok? (i mean it aint gonna blow up 10K miles down the line...)

a turbo umm theres an idea what would be the differences? just for instance? mpg, speed, torque, bhp, handleing? the price to have it installed?

standard rule on nitrous is max running of 50% of original engine power. so with the 1.4 you would be safe on running 50bhp jets if linked to a progressive controller.

THe 2.0 206 is running 75bhp but it is strong enough to run around 150bhp as its a richard longman race spec engine ( cost over 6k just for engine work excluding nitrous and usual suspects)

i think i will just have to save and get the 1.9 Tdi but is it that noticeable speed difference?

Find a dealer or garage with one for sale and test drive it, you'll understand then, night & day difference !!

umm it was a nice sound thats for sure! people could hear me coming with only one silencer... but it was the nicest sound around here (Loud enough and low ;) )... you could always keep the 1.4's centre silencer to silence it a bit more then put the adapter after the centre silencer..

Could always find a Golf GT with the 1400 supercharged and turbocharged engine ritten off and do a transplant..... if the mounts would work.

I was thinking of transplanting a twincharger..... pretty much writes off the old 'theres no replacement for displasement' argument!
