Hi,

Got a 52 1.2 ibiza and the passenger window has stopped working - stuck down.
I assume the regulator is knackered but to check i need to get to it. I'm having trouble removing the metal panel which allows access to the regulator / window etc.

I have:
removed the door card
removed the speaker which was riveted (so i could push window up and wedge up with wood)
Removed all the 10mm bolt (about 10 of them)
Disconnected all electrics

It still seems jammed on something but unsure what.

How do i get this metal panel off? any ideas? is the door lock attached to it somehow, i can quite see behing it to see what is stopping it.

Also do i need to have the window up or down?

I assume you guys have done this before as it seems a common issue.

Thanks

ok, so i need to:

remove the glass by accessing it via the to big gromit holes, unbolt it then pull it out or secure it.

then remove / disconnect the lock, i need to unscrew the two bolts on the edge of the door then it should come away?

sorry for what may seem stupid questions but try to remove it for about an hour last night then gave up. So tonight i will try to disconnect the lock and glass to get the panel off.

thanks for the advice.

there's rivets on the metal panel, they're kinda on the opposite side to where the door handle is.

Sorry to drag up an old thread, but how do you disconnect the glass and the door lock from this metal panel?

As i need to cover my outer door skin in Dynamat.
