My spanish isnt too good, but looking at the pic's it look's like a massive job to fit Cruise control. Dont think i will be bothering for the mo.

Should be the same as the Fabia, ive done two of them, not to bad once you know where to go. The only differnce I can see is the indicator stalk is slightly different so may have a different connector.

Substandard and frowned upon way of joining two or more wires together.

Solder and heat shrink, the only way to do it (unless you work for VAG, then you have to use the correct crimp connectors and heat shrink them, also known as VAS 1978 repair kit) not allowed to solder for warranty work.

I know JBS were looking into this, the problem they had I beleive was finding all the parts needed for it

and none of you lot believed me when i said it was'nt that easy on the mk4..........lol. AmD got mine done in the end but it really messed with their heads doing it.

Ant do you know what the problem was and how they fixed it?

The parts are easy, i have a list and have fitted it before and worked fine, this time im not so lucky

I've been messing my brains trying to find out how to do it on my mk4 1.4tdi.
Also, it's difficult to get the parts here in Portugal, unless I go to the SEAT dealer wich will cost me 100€ just for the stalk...

If someone could help I would apreciate...

Anyway I'll continue to do more digging...

I think the link is dead, if someone stored the instructions on their computer I'd greatly appreciate if you could post them or email them to me, spanish is my first language so I could do a good translation too
