wow, just done mine, feels like ive fitted a short shift kit in the way of its positive gear selection! might couple it with a short shift kit now and get it feeling like a rifle bolt. If your unsure about doing this just do it!

Did mine the other day and it was one of the easiest jobs I have done. If you can do an oil change then this should be equally as easy. I now have no 5th gear whine and the gear changes are a bit smoother as well.

Just did this on mine today, my gearbox whined like a good'un especially in 3rd and now is silent!! So glad this has done the trick because the noise mine was making I was expecting a full box refurb.

Mines an 04 plate and yea it should work if it's the original gearbox

Seat and quote these part numbers
WHT-001-976 for the shim
O2M-301-211-B for black inspection cover

Should do depends why it's whining but it cost me a tenner for both parts so even if it doesn't work it's not a big loss. In my case it worked perfectly

Just see u don't have the whine. It works as a preventative measure aswell so it's worth doing

Im hearing people say the cupra r doesn't have the cap on the box its just the standard cupra?

If u read through the thread you will understand. In short no it's only the FZQ box out of the leon cupra r that has it.

Casing bearing along with other bearings etc Call Alex @ AKS and he can sort if you want.
