Robdon in that picture of the clearkote stuff what it the moose cream wax (cant read the start of the bottle)

Yellow Moose Cream Wax - Alex recommended it, I wanted something I could use in direct sunlight, it's a new one from Clearkote, apparently it's a cleaner wax that leaves your paint really smooth. The Poorboys EX sealant can also be used in the sun.

Cheers for the info, getting confused again all these products and no one ever mentions in what order they would use them, so robdon when would you use the yellow cream wax and what would you apply after it?

Generally speaking - you would wash, rinse and dry your car, using a clay bar on any rough spots - then use a cleaner wax - then top it off with a sealant like Poorboys EX which contains carnuba too. You don't have to use a sealant but using one does really bring out a deeper shine and offer better weather protection.

This thread is killin me, i went out yesterday and bought a load of cleanin stuff as well.

Thought i'd give the NXT Tech Wax a bash, really impressed with it, cant imagine how good a pc would be lookin at the results of a 'hand job' lol, heres some pics of it anyway. This is the first time i've given the car a good clean since i've had it.

you use the clay before tech wax, make sure you wash the car before using the clay, you can even clay whilst washing(using the suds etc), as long as you wash the area down first

If you're going to use the Wonder Wheels (I personally wouldn't have that stuff anywhere near my car) then don't do what most people do and stick it on all four wheels and leave it 'to work'. It's a very strong solution and will attack your wheels. A little on, work it in and rinse.
Once you have clean alloys, stick some decent wax on them and you won't need the WW next time around.

Well if proof were ever needed that machine polishing works wonders then today was it!!! I was at the GTI National Day at Kames in Muirkirk and dozens of people kept commenting on my paint and how good it looked. It was very sunny so the metallic blue was really sparkling in the sun. One guy thought my car was a Cupra R resprayed in a custom colour! Another guy was looking for a colour to respray his car with, after seeing my car he said "I've just found my colour!"

I was so chuffed at the attention my car got today, so many compliments! :D
