How is the ash tray supposed to stay up?

I have just bought a leon and the ash tray is always open. How is it supposed to stay up?
Is it a simple spring missing? or should it clip?

I also need a grey glove box door as the previous owner broke the handle and kindly used some velcro to keep its closed. So if you have any going let us know

if its just the handle then you only need the handle - its seperate to the whole lid/door thing.

Sorry dont know what to suggest about the ash tray!

The ashtray should just push up until you feel it click into the locked position. To open again just push it up slightly and it will open slowly. I guess if yours doesnt do this then the mechanism is broke.

Hi, just wondering if you found a solution for getting your ash tray closed as mine decided it wouldn't close anymore last night.......annoying.
