as stated. and also how easy do they mark/swirl i am in the process of selling my mini cooper s and after a lcr cant decide between black or emocion red my mini is black and the paint seems quite good quality but it still swirls i can get most of them out when i do the full zymol treatment.
what i want to know is from the owners off black lcr's is what do you think of the quality of paint i have been hanging around this site since mid 2002 when i had an onvi lcr and i remember then that people were always complaining about there black cars just wondering if it had improved on later cars

thanks in advance

Blacks a nice colour when clean but when dirty it looks very dirty. There is no in between.
Also LCR's suffer from soft paint and does scratch easily.

ive never had a black < spelling! car, be frightened about the swirl marks after cleaning it!

i would invest heavily in some decent wax, e.g. meg's or autoglym. and keep on top of it!

I've got a black LCR... I've had a black car before and swore I wouldn't get another one but was taken with the LCR. If I could go back and change my mind now I would get the Artic Grey LCR.
It's very time consuming keeping the car clean to a point where I really don't bother anymore.

Every now and again I spend 2-3hrs cleaning my black LCR and then after 24hrs i look at it and think why did i bother :(

But for those 24hrs that its clean it looks the dogs b*ll*cks!

it just depends on how often you want to spend cleaning it!

Only black ones have soft paint.

The only way to keep a Black LCR clean is to leave in the showroom and take an Arctic one home.

I had a

Black Mk1 16v Clio way back and vowed I would never buy a car that colour again.

It looked awesome when polished and out and about on a summer night but never again.

The paint on mine doesnt appear to be too soft. And there are no swirls. Wonder why? It isn't an LCR but I don't know why that should make a difference!

As stated by everyone else, it is a right pain in the arse to keep clean. When it is clean it looks great. But that is a rare occasion.
