How hard is Seat paint?

My Cupra goes back next week, much to my distress, but it does need a bit of a polish and some light wet sanding on a few marks. I have a polishing machine (a DAS 6 Pro) and a cutting pad, and Im going to use Gyeon Q2M Polish, which is medium cut.

I have wet sanded before, but Im not sure how hard the Magnetic grey is. Being this close to the return date I dont want to mess it up now. Anyone any experience of this?

The paint is probably a medium hardness (better than majority but not as hard as my BMW), and the silver/grey colours are far easier to mask slight scratches than some of the darker colours.

Can you not try mopping out with cutting compound first to see if it removes or masks the blemishes?

There is also a car care and detailing forum here where you may get a better response:

Im ust going to try it on the bottom underside of a door first, if it removes the sanding there ill risk it.
