if the piping is the same then it will be a sime job, (amount of time i had my exhaust done . lol

Just jack the car up and support it, then remove the old piping joint for old, remove the rubber holders (abit tricky). then do same vice versa for the new exhaust. (some gum gum sealnt - would be handy)

its not something you do every day. A ramp will definate help alot. Alot of struggling and muscle is required to remove the old rubbers but i think its straight forward. If you still not sure some garage or exhaust specialist can fit it for a small fee

a garage i got a quote off today wants £50, i said its only swapping a straight fit exhaust, but i think i might have a go. i have two ramps, will get it on them tommorow,

Use WD 40 on the rubbers help pull them off and ease then back on, think its easy swap of boxes just put loads of WD 40 (best tool) on the bolts and rubbers should fly off then

hi again
went to exhaust place today to try and get fitted and they got it up on the ramp and he said one problem, if you look at the picture the pipe going to the cat has been cut near the back box, missing the other half of the pipe, is there any possibloe way i can cut the existing piep and join the new box on??

I don't see the point of spending money on getting the exhaust put on as it wont help performance wise and will be purely for show.

Your better off getting a straight through pipe to the CAT. Get a nicer noise and performance increase.

i had a golf tdi, i had full system for around 300 quid. but the problem was i started to get powerloss and the engine sounded abit louder, plus the mpg had decreased, but on the good side it had good roar and it looked fab.

Should be able to make a Sleeve to go over the two pipes and then put some clamps round the two ends should close it up neatly

Most motor factors sell them, you just need to know the exterior size of your exhaust pipe and get the clamps to suit the sleeve.
