How do you remove a Removable Towbar?!?

Right bought the Leon TDi back last year and the previous owner had his local Seat dealer fit one of these "removable" towbars....i don't have any instructions for it but was told by the guy who sold the car to me that it was simple case of just putting the key in and unlocking it and off it would come....

Tried unlocking it but nothing so i yanked kicked and swore at it....still nothing

Any ideas??

get undernath the car and just unbolt the thing...... you dont need a tow bar on a leon.

Put key in, unlock, grab handle and turn (clockwise) and pull out (away from tow bar).
