the DSG is awsome really really good, but the DSG limits tuning due to torque limiter, tuning is therfore very limited and no one make induction kits exhausts ect yet.

God knows, tbh tho i have had a revo remap, and when i boot it the traction control kicks in and it dosnt do much anyway, 215 bhp is plenty for these cars

Wouldn't surprise me if the VXR torque steers like some of the other Vauxhalls

The VXR is just chavtastic, i'd rather have a SEAT any day. The boc is just as fast from what i've seen

I think both cars are very capable, the VXR is a bit more wildly styled, bigger turbo, manual, better seats, the cupra/boc is more refined, dsg, cheaper to run. If I could have either it would be a pretty hard decision, I've had both corsas and ibizas but I'd probably go with the cupra/boc as it would be cheaper to run, only think I'd miss is the manual box

The VXR handles like a bag of crap. My friend had a 250 bhp Corsa VXR Arctic and it was awesome in a straight line and a blast up the motorway but when it came to handling it was almost scary! Ive heard many people say the same, shame becuase i think the are beautiful cars.

Same goes for the Astra VXR really.

If the new astra is AWD it could be a bit of a weapon as well.

Those Zafira VXR's are about the only cool brat waggon you can get though!

The corsa is a quick car with a fantastic chassis but crappy set up suspension/handing wise!

No point having the best chassis in the world if it doesnt have a complimentary set up in terms of suspension etc.

Therefore SEAT wins for me... but would lose against a Clio Sport / Trophy to me that was absolutely brilliant

I dont think theres a massive difference between the Cupra and VXR in handling, cupra edging it slightly. I'm still trying to find something that can match the set up on the Clio 200 RS with Cup pack that i used to own.

Dont think you will find anything better IMO.

Renault really have done well with the last lot of clios.

Still unsure whether i should have gone for a 200 but the insides are boring and plastic. not special enough inside for me.

I found the Clio to be quick and amazing when throwing around bends but lacked the ability to be tuned like a good ol turbo or twincharged engine. The fuel economy is absolutely appalling with an average of 21/22mpg. The interior was well put together, no creaking or rattles. Nice plastic with a good finish, easily on part with a Cupra. The history of the recaros and fabric getting worn quite quickly was a worry but easily replaced under warranty.

At the moment i'm torn between a Cupra or a Polo GTI as i love the interior finish on the Polo.

For the price of the clio u wont find a better handling car :)

I was very close to buying one, very nice car but the inside is crap (apart from the racaros)

Well i had been very tempted by the Megane 250 fully specced up but dont need a car that size at the moment or the higher running costs. Couldnt justify the awful economy of 21mpg in the Clio!!!

The Polo GTI is nice inside but outside is plain.

I could get a polo gti for same price as i have jsut paid for a brand new cupra - was really tempting but the cupra just stands out so much better!

Clio 200 is just plain inside which is a real shame

Seriously throw some eibach's and a whiteline ARB and there wont be much that can stick with you on the twisties! This is now the best handling and with the most grip out of any car I’ve owned. I have owned a well set up 106Gti which used to be classed as one of the best handling cars ever. (was a while back though but was still up against much more expensive machinery!).
