I used go compare to check the spec of a used Leon and it isn't listed with the technology pack (all other Leons with technology pack list them on gocompare accurately). Is there a way to tell for sure by looking at the car? Any links? Thanks

Technology pack = Full LED headlight, SatNav and DAB radio. Looking at pictures of the car I guess you should be able to tell if its got LED headlights (compare with SEAT website)? If you're with the car then playing with media system should identify whether its got DAB and SatNav options ?

Thanks, the problem is I live 140miles away from where the car is, I don't want to travel that far to figure it out. So, as long as there is sat nav, then it has technology pack? This is something the garage can check for me...not everyone can check the headlamps and tell if there are LED's or not...

It also seems to have headlamp washers but not heated seats?
I thought you could only get headlamp washers as part of the winter pack (headlamp washers, heated seats and heated washer jets).

Thank you guys, so gocompare isn't 100% reliable, i thought it pulled it data from the dvla or insurance registry, or somewhere like that.

Headlamp washers came with the tech pack until around August 2013.

3 easy ways to tell

1. LED Headlights

2. Tech pack cars have 4 buttons on either side of the headunit, non tech have 3.

3. There is a CD player on the headunit on non tech pack cars, cars with tech pack have it in the glove box.

so gocompare isn't 100% reliable.

Personally, I 'd be inclined to use Webuyanycar to quickly check the specification of a car - just enter the reg no and it provides details of the associated make/model/trim, but the data they pull through for this car would leave you none the wiser, whereas my own car is listed with 'technology pack'

As an interesting aside; I had to confirm with my insurer whether or not they'd pulled through the correct details for my own vehicle at last renewal because the documents supplied simply state 2.0D FR Tech, no mention of being the 184 variant. They confirmed on their systems it was correct model, but I find it a little odd that the official V5 document also makes no reference to power output of car given more than one variant exists...?!

Happy car hunting!

Good spot Deano. Can't say I'd ever looked for that before, or tried to make sense of the metric measurements. 184 ps sounds so much more satisfying!
