Well I'ma pick those centercaps up tomorrow, so I'll probably get a pic later... That is, if they actually fit my steelies. Now I just need to save money for coilies and new bumpers/painting the bumpers and that'll be that...

sounds sweet, would you not leave the bumpers black? keep it retro:p

every panel on my car theres a dent, so am not bothered doing it up.
next car will either be a mk2 or mk3 so i might try this hubcap thing on it ;)

To the OP, if you can make it look good, then fair play to you, never heard of or seen this "trick" before.

And LOL at the comments in this thread!

did you know that the 16"steel rims from the vauxhall range will fit with abit of fettling! there is a guy in the mk3 section with them on a while ago. had a chat with him and they needed the centre bore widening slightly but other than that, they fitted straight on and look really good.

same stud fitting but the offset on early rims is a bit odd due to the strut design

felt like driving a shopping trolley when i had em on mine

Yep phil like flapper said, have a stupid offset on vauxhalls, so will need spacing out well!

Yeah I will leave the bumpers black, but I mean buying new pre-facelift bumpers, or painting mine black again, they're fading really badly... And there's even some plastic peeling off

But even though that's my plan, I think buying new pre-facelift bumpers would be kind of a waste: Could spend the same money on facelift bumpers, which would make it look way newer, and they would increase value, even though I won't sell it. Ever

Also... I wouldn't try those centercaps on a mk3 :p Think that would look really bad... On a mk2 facelift it would probably look pretty bad...
