Horn and alarm beeper are different things if all are OEM
The horn, (which is possibly located at the front of the car, behind the bumper on the left hand side), may have had water ingress into it, quite common.
I had this problem 2 but my air bag light came on when it stoped working. Put on vag com and was saying there was a fault with the wiring under the drivers seat turned out to be the slip ring (air bag ring) behind the steering wheel replaced it and all working fine no warning lights anymore!
sorry to jump on this thread, but the horn on my lc is a disgrace- when you beep at someone for nearly killing your car it just sounds pathetic, how can i make my horn more angry sounding!!??? i did see a vid some time ago of some kids in the u.s who fitted train horns to their cars-good fun! thanks all
