133k miles and not a single tap, rattle, knock or squeek to be heard! starts 1st time everytime. yet my old mk2 golf gti died at 69k! my old corrado lasted till well over 180k miles despite being a G60!
Im 1.4 is on 102,500 miles (roughly) and its still going strong. No knocking, rattles, or squeaks. Which i was worried about when it clicked onto 100k. It does have a full service history and doesnt have to wait for new parts/stuff to be replaced.
My 1.9D is at 158k, bit rattly and noisy, and the clutch/clutch cable needs looking at. But all in all its still pretty tidy. Always starts first turn. Got its NCT cert yesterday (thats the irish version of the UK's MOT, only we only have to get it done every 2 years!)
I bought my 1998 Mk2 Ibiza when it had 124K on the clock, the clutch was changed the week before I bought it.
It was in an accident at 145K but never had a problem with it, sometimes it nearly cut out when I went through puddles but I changed the plugs and leads and that cured it.
The timing belt and head gasket was changed the Friday before it was in the smash (Sunday)!
and it only had one thing fail on mot yesterday and that was steering wheel tilt mechasim wasnt secure so i undid bolt turned it once lol then tightened other side up and it passed
