High Oil Temp.

After returning from a spirited ride with 20c degrees ambient temp. with the mk3 1.8 20vt, I noticed the oil temp. at 110c and when parked at the end of the ride , the Water temp. rose above 90 degrees just slightly .
I should say that I'm with a brand new metal impellor water pump and LM 5W40 oil. Doesn't happen at high speeds.
The secound fan's fuse is blown . Should the secound fan come on at high speeds at all or only for AC?
So whadya think??
Thin oil?
Water/oil leak?
fan # 2 ?
Anything else?
Thanks in advance for your valued input.

Think the fan should kick in if it rises over 90C, have you checked the fuses on top of the battery?

Think the oil temp is norm at 110, but if youve just had the waterpump done, you could have a small air-lock in the cooling system... releasing the pressure from the header tank when the engine is warm usually rectifies this.

How is this done?
The fuse,as mentioned, is knackered . but with no AC on + higeway speeds it never rises above 90.This time it just rose above 90 when finishing my drive. ie PARKED.
oil at 110 is higher than I usually see.And it was night time and 20C.

How is this done?

Just undo the coolant cap with the engine on, until the hissing stops. (and before any coolant comes out)

The fuse,as mentioned, is knackered.

Think this fan also turns on when the coolant rises above 90c to bring it back down again.
You say you were on your drive, so there would be hardly any airflow through the radiator, hence why the temps rose above 90c and there was no fan to bring it back down.
