Starting to spend money on my Ibiza FR PD130. and i'm starting from scratch and wanna spend every penny i own.
But where to start...
FIRST- need more power so do i get "REVO" or "allards" conversion, wats the difference??
But then comes brakes, exhausts, suspension anything that increases performance i need to know about it.

Cheers for the input!

I'd probably go for brakes and suspension first before I increased the performance, but as Mark said, do a search and you'll find more than enough ideas and suggestions.

first mod you should do is bang on the PD160 intake and a green air filter, surprising what a difference this little mod will make.

Then look at brakes like the others said, if on a budget you can opt for the 312mm conversion TT kit at £225. But if you want some real stoppers then upgrade to 4-pots from brembo or AP ( but you will need to increase size of wheels for this option)

Suspension is something most people with the FR Tdi's moan about ( they have never driven the 1.8T version me thinks as the TDi is loads less crashy) but most will look at uprating the suspension for coilover sor the like and you can also drop it a small amount at the same time for looks, you can also go for a front and rear strut brace, but this will make the ride a little harsher.

back to the engine and personally i would stick to just a remap with modest gains, sure you can whack on front mount and get a custom remap but if you push the torque too far then you are looking at uprated clutches and extra cost. So keep it to a good remap. If you are after loads more performance then question why you bought the TDi in the first place!!

exhausts are available, but can get expensive. and front mounts again are available, with one sticking out as the only option now. Or alternatively you couls look at a charge cooler which woul dbe even better and about the same price.

As for styling, make your own mind up and try not follow the crowd.

but search through the mk4 section for other ideas

I'd definitely go for the 312mm brake upgrade and remap first. They'll make the two biggest increases over standard without huge amounts of cash.

Get used to that setup for a bit, and you'll get a good feel for what to do next.

Lots of other mods possible after that, but they all cost more money for less substantial returns.

Not a problem how much to you own? Tell us that and we can spend it.

You could go with a hybrid turbo, FMIC, ATB diff, propane and nitrous injection, coilovers, 6 pot Tarox breaks (with a bigger master cylinder) an uprated front ARB and a rear. That should be more than you spent on the car and we havent got started on the cosmetics.

I went into the seat dealers the other day after reading these forums and couldnt walk out of there without buying sommin!!
Ended up gettin a seat sport strut brace as i guessed i'd need it aventually.
had a look though they're accessory magazine and saw that they did suspension upgrades aswell which only lowers the car by 20mm but i thought if it was done by seat then it wouldnt affect the warranty but need to check with u guys if its actually any good??

Couple other things;

how would u go about gettin the cupra air intakes and wat is Green Panel?
Being pretty dumb now - wat exactly are coilovers?
If i was to get the miltek exhaust system wat would i have to get to improve performance, not really looking for the boy racer as "loud as u can get it" look :D
another thing wat do mean by front mounts Ant FR

and last but not least should i get revo as it seems like the easiest and quickest way to improve the bhp.
i know about allards stage 2 but thats like £2000 obviously havent got that in my back pocket:cry:

thanks again for your input

Remaping by somone like Revo is the quickest and easyest way to get more power out of a turbo car (it works on normaly aspirated cars but you don't get much) I think Ant is talking of a front mount intercooler the FR has a side mount intercooler as standard but it's not azs efficeant as an aftermarket front mount due partly to the position being out of the air flow and partly that it's smaller.

The Cupra intakes can be bought from SEAT

6LL 129 621

6LL 129 618

These are the part numbers I think for the intake and crash panel bit.

I contacted SEAT the other day but it appears the price has gone up for these parts as they wanted £40 including delivery.

Green Panel filters are performance alternatives to the air filter in your airbox.
Cost around £40 IIRC.

On my FR I plan to go:

-40mm on Koni Springs (Ordered, just awaiting delivery and fitting)
Colour code mirror covers (just trying to find correct paint)
Smoked rear lights (If I can ever find some good ones)
Jabba remap to see 175bhp (apparently)
Some subtle interior mods, perhaps spray the dial rings, stick a boot light in, etc etc.

Just going to see how it goes and see whether or not I get kicked out of my lodging with my grandparents; I wont be doing anything if i need to buy a house :p

1 question no-ones answered is about the suspension upgrade that u can get from seat for £481 + fitting, only lowers the car by 20mm but as its seat approved seems like its a good way to go as not to invalidate the warranty.
But is it actually worth getting or better to get another make and go 30mm or 40mm lower bearing in mind i'm gonna keep the original 16" FR alloys.

Go lower. I told Stocky this when he ordered the Sachs -30mm kit...and i think he will tell you himself that he wishes it was lower-especially at the rear.

The SEAT kit has been discountinued!

If you want the kit, look at Sach! They make the exact same kit! Sach shocks and Eibach springs!

But go lower! You will want to!

I'm pretty sure you can get the Seat Sport gear knobs for Ibizas so it might be worth trying a drifferent dealer/parts bloke.
