HELP Urgent - ABS and ESP Light

Just installed my Vibe sub, i wired the amp power neatley to one of the spare terminals on the battery block, just took car up the road and it has a warning light on and traction control and ABS light,
i came back and disconnected the amp but the lights are still on what can i do or what have i done

They are all going to run through the same set of wheel speed sensors so it could be a failing sensor and just a coincidance but I'm not a beliver in coincedance. You may have disturbed conector by the battery as there are quite a few round there or blown a fuse (I'm not sure if they all use the same one?).

so should i have look in the fuse box and see if any have gone, i guess that would be a good starting place

Otherwise it's a trip to the stealer's!!!

It may be a trip there anyway as IME ABS errors will stay in memory untill reset by a dealer or somone with vagcom.

yeah, there is no fuse out, oh great! guess i will have to bite the bullet on this one!

stupid thing is, when it was all wired i started the car and reversed it out of my garage and nothing at all. came back in the house and took it up road half an hour later got about 10 meters up road and they came on then, and ever since i start the ignition it comes on

More wierdness, just been out in it again the ABS + ESP light came on but then they went off and stayed off, i pulled over a few minutes after and turned ignition on and off about 4 time in the space of ten minutes, nothing at all came on just operated as per normal. Set off again moved about 15 meters and hey presto back on!

It may be an intermitant fault at a wheel sensor as they are clasic symptoms unfortunatly you have atleast 4 of them (it can be somthing as simple as dirt cloging them up or water ingress) so it's a case of hooking it up and reading the fault codes or spending a very long time tracking them down.

yeah im shitting myself though cause if i take it to the dealer and they say its the sub and amp and bye to the warranty, though they did run the cable from engine bay to car for me, i just wired it all in and connected it to the battery, like i have done loads before, i connected it to one of the spare terminals above the ones being used,

Yeah - basically it'll tell you which sensor is up the swanny, if it's intermitant it needs a clean. if permanent - it's in need of replacement.
