help stereo keeps turning itself on

I've just gone over the 80K mile mark and have had a stereo fitted under my steering wheels for 3 years now.

I noticed the other day that my outside temperature was reading 55 degrees.
Then I was driving home the other night and the inbuilt stereo turned itself on so i turned it off and now it keeps coming on by itself even when the car is turned off.

Can anyone help? is it to do with the temperature sensor being faulty?

no idea if its to do with the temperature sensor, but my factory one used to do the same thing , seat said it was a common fault on the unit , and if u put a tape in the tape player it stops this happening , mine has been good as gold since doin this

Hi,i had same problem, the tape in the unit fixed the problem of the radio turning it's self on for about 3 months then it started again but this time it would also turn off when i was driveing, which got very anoying when listioning to eather the radio or a cd. check out my post here
http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=105024 i spoke with my dealer & if you sent your unit to them they would still help if you can't take it in personally
