Help!! Serious cupra problem engine???

just driving onto the motorway, pulling on and the car lurched forward abit which i thogh was weirrd. it took awhile and was noisy getting upto speed i stayed at 70 for a few miles it seemed alright then i got off, i tryed to pull off in first and all i can discribe it as is like the cars is constantly staling while pulling away, juddering really badly in all gears,.hardley any acceleration at all,i got to my firends and when i stopped and opened the bonnect i could smell a light burning smell and from the exhaust, ive never had any problems before and are stranded from home!! is it the turbo, no warning lights are on!!!


please any help would be great!

does sound like it could well be a coil pack.

very common.

£25-30 will have you on your way.

nah, dont drive it if poss... just geta new pack ordered, or pick one up. easy fix.

search on here for falied coilpack. wealth of info on this, theres even a sticky on it.

ok does sound like the coilpack, anyone know if anywhere will be open today as ill be at work and probably wont be able to get it done till next weekend! wolverhampton area.

found a couple of small parts places open no-one that would have kept a coilpack in stock tho. gutted! lazy vw parts departments!

they sometimes carry spare coils as its a common vag problem??

try them you never know.

thanks for the help, found a guy selling one of ebay that was only just down the road, all sorted now, used the trial and error ruote, it was the third one along!
