Help pairing remotes using VAG-com

Going back to the original question, do you know if the interface cable was a genuine Ross Tech one ? If not and only the shareware version of VAG COM was being utilised then I understand functions like remote key coding are unavailable.

Sorry for bumping this thread a little.

I need to buy a brand new flip remote key for a 03 LCR (as the unlock button doesn't seem to work). Am I right in assuming I can use the method(s) above to program it, rather than paying the stealer 50 quid for the pleasure?

Hi, ive been trying the same thing on my toledo. I didnt have a remote key at all but have now managed to get a old style key matched to the car which has the same code as yours (5fa 007 680)

I have a 3 button 434 mhz filp key: 1K0 959753 G which, no matter how I try, does not work with my car. I think we are going to have to try different flip keys mate, as I dont think this 433 = 434 theory works on all cars!
