help needed for mk3 cupra, all sorts of probs

just bought a x plate cupra and it has a few niggles which i need sorting.

the speedo isnt working any common probs with this and what can i do to fix it or test it?.

tcs and abs light comes on when i brake a coulpe of times after just starting. i can turn the car on and the lights are off, then i begin to drive and after about 2 brakes the tcs and abs lights come on? why is this happening? i will clean the abs sensors soon to see if it helps but im stumpped over the tcs light coming on. (i havent salmed the anchors on yet to see if abs works)

any advice will be awesome, its been a while since i played with a cupra and im glad i got it and begin tinkering again. the past 2 years ive spent building an S3 powered mk3 golf 280bhp. thats currently in the finishig stages and the cupra is going to side track me a little

if i leave the car idle, after 2 mins the abs and traction light comes on. why is it doing this?

(i will check that the abs sensors are ok and are plugged in, but would this lead to the traction light coming on.)

Wish I could help but no idea I'm afraid.

Maybe a Vag-com check if you know anyone that has it - not sure if that would be thr eight thing to do. Maybe just head to a dealer?

if i took it to the dealer they would rape me with the amount of faults this thing proabably has. speedo/abs/traction/gear box shaped light is on. stupid max power air filter which has probably munched my maf plus more i havent found yet.

PhilW was going to bring vagcom down last night but i guess he forgot all about me. :-(

abs and tcs sensors are the same it uses abs sensors to read wheel speed ie wheel spin from front to rear of car and i think it also gets car speed signal for speedo from same sensors as it dose for vw polos
